Recent news:
We've applied for the Juno awards for 'Best Rock Album in 2024' as well as a series of local festivals (Calgary) for next summer. Our debut album is in production for vinyl and CDs out of Toronto and should be in our hands before long. Our follow up album is in the works with a few songs written and many more exciting tunes streaming down the line, which will likely be recorded in our studio in Cochane, Alberta (Chunk of what Records).

BoonDog is a blues rock power-trio based out of Cochrane, Alberta, featuring Aaron Kenny on lead vocals and bass, Andrew Venning on guitar, and Fred Struck on drums. The band formed in 2022 when Aaron entered the rehearsal space where Andrew and Fred were working out heavy rock tunes over a few jam sessions. Aaron's burly rock vocals and thick bass tones, mixed with Andrew's blues riffs and Fred's power drumming, created a complete sound that the band has forged into a hard-hitting blues-rock power trio. BoonDog have kept the train rolling and released their debut album 'Jam House' in August 2024, in honour of their rehearsal space where the band was formed.
